The Palm River Public Utility Renewal project is part of Collier County’s PUR initiative, replacing aging water, wastewater, and stormwater systems in Basin 305. The Palm River Public Utility Renewal Project is a multi-year initiative to upgrade aging infrastructure in Basin 103, which includes the Palm River Estates neighborhood. With over 10 miles of roadway and approximately 1,500 properties, this primarily residential area is experiencing frequent water main breaks, service line failures, and localized flooding.

The project replaces outdated utility systems and improve stormwater management to enhance service reliability, environmental protection, and neighborhood walkability.

Scope of Work

  • Replacement of water, wastewater, and stormwater systems
  • Installation of PVC pipe to replace aging clay sewer laterals
  • Rehabilitation of stormwater collection and treatment systems within the public right-of-way
  • Addition of sidewalks and roadway improvements for safer pedestrian access

Note: Some work may require access to private property. Residents will be contacted for permission as needed.
