The Northeast Utility Expansion Program is a multi-phase infrastructure initiative designed to extend essential utility services, potable water, wastewater, and irrigation-quality water, to rapidly growing areas in the northeastern part of Collier County. This program supports new residential and commercial developments east of the existing service area and ensures long-term capacity for future growth. The program is a $438 million infrastructure initiative that will deliver wastewater and drinking water treatment facilities. This program is essential to meeting the utility demands of one of Florida’s fastest-growing corridors, with service agreements in place for SkySail, Rivergrass Village, Bellmar, Brightshore, and the Town of Big Cypress. Utilities must be operational by 2031 to support these communities.

Scope of Work

  • Installation of potable water and irrigation-quality water storage tanks
  • Extension of pipelines and utility infrastructure to new communities
  • Construction of new wastewater and drinking water treatment facilities
  • Capacity: 6 million gallons/day (MGD) wastewater and 10 MGD drinking water
  • Use of nanofiltration and reverse osmosis for high-efficiency, modular treatment
  • Phased design for regulatory compliance and future scalability
